János SOLTI (Hungary) - drums

He is considered as the most famous and popular Hungarian all-around drummer. Started his musical carrier as violinist, than turned to jazz and percussions.

He graduated at Bartók Béla Conservatory on jazz faculty.

He played and plays recently as well in several leading rock- and jazzbands.

As a studio musician he took part more than 400 records.

He got two times Hungarian Radio eMeRTon prizes, 14 times was awarded as "Drummer of the year".

He played together and made records among others with Szabó Gábor, Tony Lakatos, Krysztof Scieranski, Dave Samuels, Rainer Büringhaus, Zbigniew Namyslowski...etc.

He is the head of drum department at Music College of Hungarian Dance and Music Artists' Association.

His most wellknown formations: Lokomotiv GT, Hobo Blues Band, Tatrai Band, Budapest Big Band, Things, In-Line, Magyar Atom.

In 2002 the International Star Registry redesignated a star ( from his most wellknown band Lokomotiv GT) to the name -LGT.

In 2005 a great honour conferred upon him, The Hungarian State President was decorated him
The Knight of the Hungarian Republic Order.
